We often receive questions from customers such as, "What kind of living room table should I choose?" and "Do I even need a living room table?" So, this time, we will introduce how to choose and use a living room table to make your time in the living room more comfortable. How to choose the right size for your lifestyle
The sofa is undoubtedly the main piece of furniture for relaxing both mind and body in the living room. However, the ideal living room table will vary depending on "how you plan to spend time" there. First, consider the space in your room and how it balances with the sofa. Generally, choosing a tabletop size that matches the width of the sofa will create a beautifully organized space. For a chaise lounge sofa: For a 3-4 seater (160-180cm wide sofa + 70-90cm chaise lounge), a rectangular table around 120cm wide is generally suitable. For an L-shaped sofa or modular sofa: For a layout where the sofa surrounds the sofa, choosing a square table makes it easily accessible from all seats and creates a well-balanced look. Also, if you want to neatly store remotes and magazines, choosing a table with shelves or drawers is recommended.
Three table designs to choose from based on role
Living room tables serve different purposes depending on their design. Choose one that suits your lifestyle. Center table: It lowers the center of gravity of the space, making the room feel larger and more open. Recommended for those who gather with many people or who like to eat while sitting on the floor. Side table: Can be pulled next to or in front of the sofa, offering the convenience that best fits modern living. Ideal for drinking coffee or working on a laptop while sitting deeply in the sofa. Nesting tables: Combining tables of different sizes creates a three-dimensional look in the space. They can be separated and used individually when guests come over, and if they are around 60cm high, you can even enjoy a light meal in a comfortable posture while sitting on the sofa.
