AD CORE DEVISE SALES BLOG Vol.6
It is said that tea shops do not accept first-time customers and that you can only enter if you are introduced by a regular customer.
We were commissioned to design chairs for a Kyoto tea shop at the request of a veteran designer from Kyoto who started out in the early days of the computer industry and is now active in the design field.
It is a unique culture of Kyoto that takes pride in being "of a different status" from Ginza. It is a place of entertainment that requires the refinement of gentlemen and ladies, and the job was a bit of a heavy burden for me. However, my innate "spirit of craftsmanship" rose up and I decided to take on the challenge, knowing the risks.
●Can be used on tatami mats.
●Both elbows are on the support.
●The back and seat are covered in high-quality leather that feels comfortable against your hands.
●And it can be stacked.
These four conditions must be met.
Among these, the "tatami mat sled" attached to the product makes it physically impossible to "stack" it. After pondering how to solve this problem, we came up with the idea of attaching and detaching the "tatami mat sled" with a magnet.
The magnets are made of ultra-strong neodymium, and the attachment and detachment surfaces have also been designed with great care.
Another "chair that you won't find anywhere else," which is synonymous with AD CORE, has been completed.
