Loose comfort
AD CORE DEVISE DESIGNER BLOG Vol.9 It's been over 10 years since I cut my hair short. I've had a beard for 20 years... People often say to me, "How low-maintenance!" when they see my short hair. While I don't have to spend time shampooing or drying it, I do get a haircut every two weeks and trim my beard every morning. I've been going to the salon for nearly 20 years. My Karmann Ghia maintenance mentor, a 40-year-old younger than me, is my mentor. The salon, a converted American house on Daikanzaka in Motomachi, is a truly comfortable space. The waiting room is furnished with ADCORE brand MASSA. Even though it's a waiting room, it's by appointment only, so I didn't often sit there. Sitting there for the first time in several years, I really appreciate his quirky sense. When the salon first opened, the interior, with its cassette stereo and vintage chairs, seemed a bit cluttered, but now it's somehow more relaxing. I love Volkswagens and travel to the West Coast to directly source parts, and my interior has always had an LA-inspired feel. I've stuck to that style, and it's what I like most about it now. The sofa, which was intended to be a modern design, also blends in as if it has always been there. Looking at it, I was reminded that while flawless fashion and interior design are good, relaxed style is also good.
