We have been consistently creating beautiful furniture that uniquely supports people's lifestyles, is timeless, has a global perspective, is environmentally friendly, considers cost-effectiveness, and satisfies the soul of the user since 1985. When we were founded, our company policy was to create designs that could be produced well into the 21st century. We are able to deliver furniture that is actually designed and used in daily life. To ensure long-lasting use, we are particular about strength, and in the case of chairs, we conduct our own repeated strength tests and only produce products that are three times stronger than the old JIS standard. All products are original designs and manufactured domestically.
Environmental Initiatives
Since its founding in 1985, AD CORE DEVISE has been involved in a variety of environmental initiatives.
・We will not discontinue products once they have been commercialized so that they can be used for a long time.
・A "made-to-order system" that doesn't produce any unnecessary products
・Environmentally friendly: "Produced in domestic factories using materials that do not contain toxic substances"
・"Uses recycled wood from forests" that is considerate of the natural environment
- "We have eliminated protective agents made from fossil fuels and are using only recyclable materials for the protective materials used in product packaging."
In order to further advance our sustainable product development, we will be implementing the following measures starting in 2022.
Product packaging specifications
We have completely eliminated protective materials such as styrofoam and plastic covers made from fossil fuels used in product packaging, and are now using only recyclable materials. We will continue to actively incorporate new materials and work towards carbon neutrality and the SDGs.
Table and sofa protection
Conventional: Styrofoam (foamed plastic made from petroleum)
Current: Laminated cardboard (recyclable cushioning material made from recycled paper)
Chair and sofa packaging bags
Conventional: Polyethylene bags (petroleum-based vinyl chloride resin)
Current: Polylactic acid nonwoven fabric (a biodegradable plant-based nonwoven fabric that returns to nature)
Table top protective sheet
Conventional: Bubble wrap (petroleum-based polyethylene sheet material)
Current: Recycled air cap (a material that uses recycled materials and reduces CO2 emissions)
Table top protection sheet
Conventional: Mirror Mat (petroleum-based foamed polyethylene sheet)
Current: Biofoam (using plant-derived biomass polyethylene)
Packing band
Conventional: PP band (petroleum-based polypropylene material)
Current: Environmentally friendly PP band (eco-return material made from recycled materials)
Maintenance equipment
Considering sustainable maintainability, simple tools used when assembling tables and other items are attached to the back of the product, reducing energy loss due to loss, repurchasing, and transportation for maintenance.
Abolish printing of general catalogues
We will be taking a more environmentally friendly approach by eliminating the energy used in printing and disposing of our general catalogues, as well as the carbon dioxide emissions. We will continue to use simple printing methods such as new product tabloids and easy-to-read A5-sized mini catalogues.
Use of domestic softwood plywood
As part of our efforts to become carbon neutral
Starting with the 2024 model, sofa frames will be made using 100% domestically produced materials
For plywood over 12mm thick, we use domestically produced plywood made from cedar or cypress.
In addition, starting with the 2023 model, we have announced products that use more than 80% domestic cedar plywood for the structure, which contributes to forest conservation and carbon dioxide fixation, and products that use more than 80% rebonded foam (chip foam) made from recycled scraps generated during factory manufacturing for the urethane foam used as cushioning material.
